The Restaurant Meals Program (RMP) allows elderly, disabled* and homeless CalFresh recipients and their spouse to use their Golden State Advantage (EBT) card to purchase prepared meals from participating restaurants. You must be receiving CalFresh benefits and be in one of the groups listed below to be eligible for the program. This program is available to you and your spouse (if receiving CalFresh benefits) if you are:

  • Elderly (age 60 or older)

  • Disabled*

  • Homeless

*Disabled definition:

  • Receiving Social Security Disability Benefits

  • Receiving Railroad Retirement Benefits

  • Receiving Veteran’s Administration (VA) benefits based on total disability

  • Approved for and currently receiving Medi-Cal benefits based on a disability

Note:  The RMP does not apply to CalFresh recipients who do not meet the criteria listed above.
