CalWORKs
The California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) program provides cash benefits for the care of needy children when one or both parents are absent, disabled, deceased or unemployed. If eligible for CalWORKs you automatically qualify for Medi-Cal and may qualify for Food Stamps as well. 
The program requires clients to become employed as quickly as possible, become self-supporting and not dependent on aide. To help you accomplish this goal of self-sufficiency click on the links below for information of additional assistance and services.
