Vocational Assessment

Vocational Assessment is the activity following Job Services for CalWORKs Welfare-To-Work participants who have not found full-time employment.  The assessment is a two-day professional evaluation of the participant’s work history, skills, education, knowledge and physical abilities, and to evaluate their chances for employment given the participant’s current status and the local labor market conditions.

The Case Manager and participant will then develop a strength-based Welfare-To-Work Plan to specify the training or work activities to which the participant will be assigned and identify the supportive services to be provided.
