Adult Abuse Statistics
Adult Protective Services (APS) are directed at preventing or remedying neglect, abuse or exploitation of adults who are unable to protect their own interests because of age or disability.
Population Served
- Elders—age 65 or older
- Dependent adults—physically or mentally impaired 18-64 year olds
Eligibility
Adult Protective Services are provided without regard to income or resources. A client must live in Orange County and be the victim of abuse either by self or by another that occurred in the community
SSA Demographic Data
This report shows the number of persons in each city grouped according to age for each of the major programs that the agency offers. This report contains unduplicated count of clients in each program. Clients may receive services in more than one program and they are counted in each program in this report.
Child Abuse Statistics
On this web site you will find statistical reports that represent the calls received by the Child Abuse Hotline as well as the child abuse and neglect reports that resulted from those calls. We had previously been providing similar statistical information to the community on a regular basis.
Youth Services
This area has two sections. The first section provides contacts and information on housing, health, employment, education, and scholarship services available to foster youth and emancipated foster youth. The second section provides information on employment, education, and scholarship services available to other youth living in the Orange County communities.
